Sam Maxwell has landed herself permanently in the penalty box.

Sam set out to be an accomplished referee, and she refuses to talk about the circumstances that cost her everything. She thought she was done with hockey forever, until the stipulations of her grandfather’s will were read.

She must coach the hockey team he owned for one year or the farm she is set to inherit will be sold out from under her.

Returning home, she meets Drew Morgan, the insanely attractive Zamboni driver at the rink, and is instantly annoyed by him. Snarky comments fly as his attempts to help are thwarted by her fierce independence. The heat cranks up high enough to melt ice, as the two are forced together in hilarious situations.
